MEDDEXS is an international recruitment agency, which supports companies searching for Professionals and Executives in the Life Science Industry. On behalf of our client we are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager (m/f/d) North Germany in the ophthalmic sector.
The Regional Sales Manager (m/f/d) North Germany drives, implements and develops commercial strategies with the objective to improve market share and profitability, while creating a performance-orientated, collaborative sales culture in the respective region.
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities
- Manage and direct sales activities in the respective region
- Direct and steer customer-facing activities of sales organization in the region via transparent and clear targets/KPI’s
- Regular reviews to track individual and team progress as well as identifying measures for target achievement
- Responsibility for sales coaching (joint visits, feedback process, supporting sales in complex customer situations etc.)
- Team and individual development of sales professionals
- Create a positive (promoting teamwork, collaboration) and performance-orientated sales culture with high level of accountability
- Ensure effective and efficient use of CRM (Power BI) system
- Pro-active market- and competitor scanning (e.g. reimbursement changes, competitor activities)
- Overview forecast and budget for the region
- Represent and support in organizing congresses, conferences and events
- KOL liaison and KOL development with selected KOL’s
- Supporte the collaboration with relevant commercial departments, such as Customer Service, Marketing and other functions
- Represent Sales in core projects, launch-teams and other commercial projects/activities
Functional Competency
- Sound understanding of Medical Technology direct sales, preferably with specific ophthalmic/IOL experience
- Strong drive for results, tenacious and persistent to overcome and manage obstacles
- Proven track record of successful territory development
- Sound knowledge of various sales methodologies and CRM “fluent”
- Strong leadership qualities to lead collaboratively, yet with high level of accountability and performance orientation

Education:
- Vocational degree, preferably in optics or university degree
Experience:
- 3+ years level leadership experience
- Several years sales experience preferred
- Deep understanding of the medical device business
- Fluency in English
