Strategic Marketing Manager (m/f/d) DACH

The Strategic Marketing Manager (m/f/d) DACH is responsible for defining and implementing locally tailored downstream marketing strategies for the entire ophthalmic sector and related products. This includes close collaboration with global marketing partners to adapt and customize global strategies to meet specific local market needs. 

In this role, you will initially lead a small marketing team, with the responsibility to expand and develop it further very quickly.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities

  • Be responsible to create and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy tailored to the local market, ensuring alignment with global objectives
  • Craft product brand plans that effectively localize global strategies and tactics, ensuring relevance and impact in the local market
  • Drive the planning and execution of local launch strategies for new product introductions, ensuring successful market entry
  • Define and implement strategies to engage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and foster peer-to-peer interactions, maximizing brand awareness and business success
  • Own the strategy for identifying and nurturing product advocates across the DACH region, ensuring sustained brand loyalty and market influence
  • Take charge of the follow-up and ongoing optimization of product launch plans, ensuring continuous alignment with business goals
  • Maintain the integrity of corporate and product branding in all local presentations and communications, in line with strategic guidelines
  • Work closely with sales and field marketing teams to define positioning and messaging for national congresses
  • Partner with the global marketing team to maximize the impact of regional events on the German business
  • Collaborate with the Field Marketing Manager to strategically plan and optimize media usage, ensuring effective brand communication and market reach

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a scientific field, with a preference for candidates who have pursued postgraduate studies in marketing

 Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales and/or marketing experience 
  • Preferred experience with the ophthalmic sector and/or Health Care market
  • Fluency in English
